I am finding this problem as well. First time I tried it the window stuck on checking the system time. Then I rebooted following Krusty13's advice above after which it worked fine. Then later I tried again - no luck. Trying again now.. Which is not the best support experience.

If I run 'Get Support' a second time right after the first, then Norton Autofix finds nothing and it completes with no problems. Surely, this is something that Norton should sort out as it appears to be an issue no matter which version of NIS and Windows is running.
Well now I have no Norton on my computer. Have restarting my computer yesterday, Norton wouldn't allow the Smart Firewall to be turned on. The Fix It option didn't work and neither did going in manually and turning it on.
Also had issues with incoming and outgoing email but got those to work eventually. Was online with support for over an hour last night and had to completely remove Norton and was told that since my version is from Comcast and I have Windows 8.
After much head scratching I found that somehow the Windows Firewall had switched itself on, so Norton had switched off Smart Firewall and would not switch on.
Two Firewalls On always cause problems. After manualy switching off the Windows Firewall, and switching on the Norton Smart Firewall again and rebooting, the problem seemed to go away.
