Heart Piece Location Guide by Shdwrlm3 v. Hero's Cave Guide by funkytoad v. Item Guide by ScottThang v. Maple FAQ by Shdwrlm3 v. Bigmouth Dragon Vire : Hit him with a sword until he becomes two little things. Use the Feather to jump and hit them both to kill them. He is in both games in L6.

Pair of Poes: Use the slingshot to keep at least two torches up. When they are close, hit them with the sword. Fireball the Snowman: Use hyper slingshot to shoot Mystery Seeds to make him turn blue. Then shoot him with Fire Seeds. He has a lot of life so you may want to buy a potion before the battle.

Stealing from Maple Use the following trick to learn if Maple has anything worth stealing. If Maple has rare items such as Rings, Seeds, Heart Pieces, and Potions, she will zigzag on her broom a lot more complexly. If she has not so good items, she will zigzag a lot less complexly. If she has more than one rare item she will zigzag even more, as if to avoid you. Maple's ride As you progress further in the game, you will encounter Maple. Depending on how far you get, you may see Maple riding on a vacuum instead of a broom.

This makes it more difficult to get the items that scatter when you collide with her. If you run into Maple enough times, she can be seen riding a rocket.

Find Maple more often Warp to the Gale Tree in Tarm Ruins and go three screens down, one screen right, one down, and one left, where you will find lots of Like Likes.

Whenever you destroy one, another will take its place. Destroy about twenty-five Like Likes then go one screen right to find Maple. The Maple's Ring would speed this process up even more. Easy win in chest game When you enter the shop in Horon village, go upstairs see membership card. When you pay for your game, he will look at the chests. He will look at the correct one for slightly longer. Use a Pegasus Seed, run towards the place in which you need to jump over, and jump. You can jump over two holes instead of just one.

This is important for your future quest in level 4. Sometimes if you jump with the Roc's Feather at the correct moment, you can jump two holes instead of one without using Pegasus Seeds. If you try hard enough and practice a lot, you can jump over two holes without the Pegasus seeds. If you do use them, you can jump over three holes.

This will allow you to advance farther than the game normally allows. Finding Summer Get Ricky then get the floodgate key. Drain the water and jump down the left cliff.

Go down once, then go left, get in the middle of the cliff, and press [Up]. Do the same thing when you get to the next cliff. Follow the path and you will eventually find a portal. Jump off Ricky, enter in the portal, and go down to the beach.

Dig to find the Star Ore, then go to shop. Trade the Star Ore for the Ribbon. Return to the beach then go down to find Rosa. Give her the ribbon and go on date with her. You can now go to the locked doors. Open them, go to the temple and open the door. Change the season to winter and go left.

Then, change the season to fall and go south. Change the season to spring and go right. Finally change the season to summer and go north. You will see statues.

Go north. Change the season to winter and go south, then east and north. You will see a place leading up. Go north and then go west. You will only see two statues this time. Push the one nearest to the cliff to the right. Jump down and change the season to spring. Jump to the bloom and go east. You will see someone that will say if you go further the world will suffer from darkness. Continue to the door and keep going to reach the Ancient Ruins. You can find the boomerang L-2 there, which is used to kill the statue soldiers.

Get a ride from Ricky see Hint: Getting Ricky. When you drain the water from the floodgate, go down until you see an area with a flower and two Spider Tektites. Go down one more screen and go right, and up.

You will see Dimitri being attacked by Moblins. Save him and he will teach you his song. If you get the song from the shop, it will not work with Dimitri, or the dance flute for Moosh.

Go down one more screen and go left, and up. You will see Moosh being attacked by Moblins. Go to the area across the bridge, and enter the normally empty area to find a kangaroo. Give Ricky her gloves, and if you do not have a flute yet, she will give you hers.

Wake up the tree To wake up the treen burst the bubble coming out of his nose. Change an enemy Find one of the green cactus-like enemies that electrocute you if hit with your sword.

Use a Mystery Seed on them to change them into something else. Even if you do this, however, you still cannot hit them with your sword. Cucco to chick Go north of Horon Village, to the house that you took the Cuccodex to.

Use a Mystery Seed on a big Cucco, and it will turn to a chick. Giant Cucco Go to the house where you gave Malon the Cuccodex. Keep hitting an adult Cucco until a flock of Cuccos appears. Use a Mystery Seed on the original Cucco and it will turn big. If you keep hitting the big Cucco, he will chase after you. Walk north from Horon Village until you reach Talon's house. You will see a number of Cuccos fluttering about her humble abode.

Hit a Cucco with your sword until it begins to attack you, then throw a Mystery Seed at it. The Cucco will grow to an enormous size. Buzz Blob comments Use a Mystery Seed on a Buzz Blob the enemy that shocks you if attacked with the sword and he will turn into a Cukemon. If you paralyze him with the boomerang, he will say funny things to you.

Destroy the Great Moblin's house Once you defeat the Great Moblin at his keep, he will move to the abandoned house just one screen south of the Gale Tree in Sunken City, making bombs. Go in the house to find a pile of bombs in the corner. Set an Ember Seed on the pile or let one of your bombs explode next to it, and then the pile will blink. Get out of the house while it is blinking. The Moblin will run away and the house will explode.

After blowing it up twice or so, they will catch you, knock you out inside of the house, and the explosion will kill you. A stairway will appear. Go down it, and a Gasha Seed will be there. Horon Village: Changing seasons You can change seasons in Horon Village if you go to a screen with a different season. Keep walking back and forth between screens. Onox's Castle: Restore life If you are running out of life, go into one of the side doors. Do not go all the way into the room or you will be trapped.

Instead, stand in the doorway, equip your magic boomerang, and use it to get the Fairy without being trapped in the whirlwind of tiles. Once you get it, you can go back out.

Note: You will go back to the first room of the castle. When you are inside, go up two rooms. Kill all of the enemies, then look at the blocks in the room. They will form an arrow. Throw a bomb at the wall that the arrow is pointing to.

It will open the wall and lead to a room. Enter that room and pick up all the rupees. Do this the first time you find the room to get over rupees. Dive in there to find secret grotto. Open the chest there to get a Gasha Seed non-password only. Subrosian Dance Hall: Boomerang To get the boomerang, you have to dance correctly. Dungeon maps When you get a dungeon map in a level, if you look carefully, it looks like the title of the dungeon. Glitch: Swim in lava The following trick is done while you are fighting Twinrova in her second form.

When you are on the ice board, go to where lava is on the lava board. If done correctly, when it changes it will appear as if you are swimming in lava. Note: This will result in damage. Use the Switch Hook on any of the three filing cabinets and the screen will reset. Glitch: Crazy old man Speak with the old man who lives in Spool Swamp near the end of the game about the time you enter the seventh dungeon , His text is corrupted and he will speak as if he were Impa.

He says some of the things that Impa says at the start of the game. Then, go to the house with all the Cuccos. Go down two screens and jump over the hole. Hack them out of your way to get to her andd use the pattern described above to beat this form.

Once you do, Veran will split from Ambi and get much uglier. These move counter to your movement, so be careful to avoid them. Veran will float around the room and pepper you with fireballs. To deal with her golems, hack at them with the Sword like you did with the Hardhat Beetles during the Restoration ceremonies. This will pack them into a group and make them easier to deal with.

She likes to flit from one side of the room to the other, and she's easier to hit if you aren't in the center. As you're moving around avoiding fireballs, charge your Sword. That way, when the bug gets near you, you can really let her have it with the Sword.

Once you whack her six times with spin attacks, she'll transmute again. You've won! She's fully shifted into her beastly form, which breaks down into three insect flavors.

She'll freely change between them during the course of the fight and you'll need to know how to handle them all. You'll know when she's about to die, because she will shift forms much faster. Have at it! Your job is to avoid the shadow as it's coming down, but to be close enough to strike when she falls.

When she lands, she'll show her face for a second. Hit her mug with your Sword until she balls up and repeats the pounding or changes forms. She can disappear and attack from above or shoot webs at you from across the room. Keep your distance, but don't get as far away as the opposite end of the room. Whenever she lands, use a Bomb to sting her, bringing out her face.

When it's exposed, run in and swipe at it with the Sword. You'll have to watch out for long-range stinger attacks. Avoid these by dropping to the bottom of the room and moving laterally to dodge them.

She'll also try to encircle herself with smaller bees. Treat this like the very first Mini-Boss you faced in the game. Kill her bees to get to her. Lastly, shell charge at you and simply try to damage you with her body.

Don't get crowded into a corner, or you'll take massive damage. It's likely that Veran won't remain the Bee for long. You can also hit this form with the Seed Shooter, so keep that in mind if you want to attack from distance. Keep your Seed Shooter and Sword handy and just stay on your toes, and you'll be the victor. Swoop is a wing'd beast with only one means of attack: dropping on you from above.

You'll have to be quick to defeat him, as he doesn't stay on the ground long. The other thing you have to watch out for is that every time Swoop touches down, he opens a pit in the floor.

If you are careless and fall through, you'll fall to a lower level of the Dungeon and have to make your way back upstairs to continue the fight. He always flaps a specific amount of time before dive-bombing you. When he does finally drop to the turf, he will bounce a couple of times, so be on your toes.

As the battle goes on, Swoop will bounce three times, so make sure you stay out of his way for each bounce. He will come to rest momentarily, and that's when you need to charge in and slash at him. If you can hit him with a charged-up swat, more the better.

If you can stick to the outer edge of the room, you can avoid Swoop making holes altogether, as the outer rim is impervious to his cannonballing. Repeat the wait and swat tactic until Swoop goes down, then collect his Fairy.

The Giant Ghini is no sweat. He really doesn't have much of a defense system, except for the orbiting fireballs that accompany him. If one hits you, it will hang on like a Wisp, but that is the only thing that should slow you down. When his companions are down, slash at the main guy with your Sword as fast as possible.

It will only take about two or three passes to put him down. Subterror is easily defeated, once you know his spiel. Since he is a mole, he spends a good deal of time underground. To track his progress, just take a look at the moving lump of soil.

The only way Subterror can hurt you is if he pops up under you and gets you with his corkscrew nose. Track the mound around the map.

Whenever it gets close to you, use the Shovel to quickly dig it up. When it appears aboveground, use your Sword to hack at it until it goes back underground. All you have to do is repeat this process until Subterror dies. The Armos Warrior rolls strapped with a large sword and shield. He'll use both to try to trample you, so stay out of his way. The Armos Warrior's main attack is to throw his sword at you.

It will spin around the arena, following you until he grabs it again. As soon as he throws it, look to scoot around behind him. Since the blade homes in on you, it will fly into the Warrior if you're behind him. Do this three times to crack his Shield. After this is gone, the Armos Warrior will resort to bombs. Without his shield, you can get at him with the Seed Shooter. Just avoid his bombs and peg him with Seeds until he drops for good. Remember the Great Moblin?

This fight is very similar, except that instead of fighting a large pig, you're scrapping with something that looks a lot like the unholy union of a manta ray and a demolition ball. Smasher snappy name, huh? Your job is to avoid the ball and pick it up yourself, with the Bracelet, of course.

Wait for him to throw it, run to the ball and heft it, then run at him and throw it. Don't hang on too long, though. The ball eventually fades. Hit Smasher five times and he'll drop like so much seafood. Vire is a slippery little biscuit, but can be defeated with common household items ie your Wooden Sword.

He'll come at you with three separate energy attacks. All of these can be abtted down with your Sword, so they don't pose much of a threat. The red ones stay as single balls, but the yellow ones split into four balls and the blue ones always come at you in twos.

Just keep pumping that Sword button and you should stay safe. Each time you take a chunk out of him, he'll get a little speedier. After about three solid thwackings, he will become a pair of bats. Hit these once and Vire will be no more. The fight against Shadow Hag takes a considerable amount of cunning on your part, and some good shooting in the end. The Hag does not like to be seen. If you look at her, she will turn to shadow.

Actually, four shadows. You'll have to dodge these as they zip and weave around the arena. Eventually, the old girl will come back together.
