I loved working with the at-risk population that has always been my passion. However, I feel they were treated unfairly and somewhat looked upon as dollar signs.
Pros I believe i left a positive impact on some of the residents. Cons It just tears me apart to know i had to leave them back in a broken system. Kids favored certain employees because they allowed the kids to run amok. Kids showed no respect for staff who actually did their job and enforced the rules.

This in addition to a fairly recent merger with another group home has caused a significant adjustment period for the company. From my experience in Sierra House a level 11 home I am happy nonetheless. I stay because of the kids. Pros Flexible vacation, management works with you.
